Introduction & Characterization The Othello syndrome was named by the English psychiatrist John Todd (1914-1987) in a paper he published with K. Sha'ban is one of the meritorious months for which we find some particular instructions in the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam.  A significant feature of the month of Sha'ban is that it consists of a night which is termed in Shariah as  "Laylatul-bara'ah"  (The night of freedom from Fire).  This night of Shabaan is a very blessed night.
