Ramadan - According to Qur'an & Hadith
Ramadan is the 9th month of Islamic year. It came after Sha'ban. Muslims wait for this month whole year and prepare themselves for the Ramadan. In Ramadan ALLAH shower his mercy and forgiveness on people and Muslims do fasting in this month for 30 days. There are so many verses of Qur'an about Ramadan. Qur'an on Ramadan (1) The month of ramadan in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of ramadan i.e. is present at his home), he must observe Saum (fasts) that month, and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number [of days which one did not observe Saum (fasts) must be made up] from other days.
